Hatmob Launches “Research and Resources” Cultural Credit Events
In spring of 2025 the Hatmob began hosting R&R Meetings. These will include updates on the various empirical research projects the signature program currently is conducting in alliance with Stetson faculty. All of the events also qualify for cultural credit.

3/12/25: Sports industry “Work” Project
Time & Location: LBC 123 @ 6 PM
The R&R on 3/12 served as a status update on empirical research being conducted on our campus in the sports industry “Work.” project. Utilizing a quantitative methodology, Mr. Jackson Frank, a senior Business Systems and Analytics major in Stetson’s School of Business, analyzed audience attendance of the work conducted by professional athletes via the differences in consumption across sports. Mr. Frank is working on the project with Dr. John Rasp in the Department of Business Systems and Analytics.
3/19/25: Corporate law “Sorry I’m Not Sorry” Project
Time & Location: LBC 124 @ 6 PM
The R&R on 3/19 served as a status update on empirical research being conducted on our campus in the legal industry “Sorry I’m Not Sorry,” project. Utilizing a quantitative methodology, Ms. Olivia Parcesepe, a junior business administration major in Stetson’s School of Business, described our data collection efforts in assessing language used in corporate and political apologies. Ms. Parcesepe is working on the project with Dr. Randall Croom in the Department of Management and Organizations.
4/2/25: Multi-industrial “Photograph” Project
Time & Location: LBC 124 @ 6 PM
The R&R on 4/2 served as a status update on empirical research being conducted on our campus on an interdisciplinary level via the “Photograph” project. The R&R on the project was facilitated by Ms. Alexa Wooten, a junior accounting major in the School of Business. She explained the use of photograph artifacts as data in empirical research on resource consumption. Ms. Wooten is working on the project with Dr. Areti Vogel in the Department of Management and Organizations.
4/9/25: Multi-industrial “Birds of a Feather” Project
Time & Location: LBC 124 @ 6 PM
The R&R on 4/9 served as a status update on empirical research being conducted on our campus in the mental health industry “Birds of a Feather,” project. The R&R on the project was led by Ms. Ella Spears, a senior health sciences major in Stetson’s College of Arts and Sciences. Utilizing a quantitative methodology, Ms. Spears explicated the survey development we are doing to investigate performance and social circles and/or selected ecosystems. Ms. Spears is working on the project with Dr. Randall Croom in the Department of Management and Organizations.
4/16/25: Multi-industrial “Waterfalls” Project

The R&R on 3/26 served as a status update on empirical research being conducted on our campus in the health and wellness industry “Waterfalls” project. The R&R on the project was facilitated by Ms. Lindsey Bartz, a senior accounting major in the School of Business. Ms. Bartz described a qualitative inquiry to explore health outcomes within familial or nucleal resource systems. Ms. Bartz is working on the project with Dr. Areti Vogel in the Department of Management and Organizations.
4/23/25: Finance industry “Money, Money, Money” Project

The R&R on 4/23 served as a status update on empirical research being conducted on our campus in the finance industry “Money, Money, Money,” project. The R&R on the project was facilitated by Mr. Grant Groseclose, a senior finance major in the School of Business. Mr. Groseclose described the methodology behind machine learning and day trading. Mr. Groseclose worked on the project with Dr. John Rasp in the Department of Business Systems and Analytics.
4/23/25: Real estate “All the Stars” Project
Time & Location: LBC 123 @ 7 PM
The R&R on 4/23 served as a status update on empirical research being conducted on our campus in the real estate industry “All the Stars” project. The R&R was facilitated by Mr. Bear Fender, a senior finance major in the School of Business, who will explain the mixed methods approach supporting several studies on the competition within and connections between ecosystemic boundaries. Mr. Fender worked on the project with Dr. A.T. Vogel in the Department of Management and Organizations.
