Fieldwork
A Fieldwork experience via the Hatmob involves a deep dive into empirical research for the purpose of organizational development, and qualifies for an Experiential Learning Requirement (ELR) in the School of Business Administration. To be a member of the Fieldwork Team of the Hatmob, one must:
- Complete the online Collaborative Institutional Training Initiative (CITI) Social and Behavioral Research course to which Stetson provides a subscription,
- Register a Hatmob Portfolio Deck,
- Attend/assist with a majority of Executive Board cultural credit events (e.g., R&R),
- Contribute content to the Hatmob social media platform, and
- Either:
- Enroll in one of the research-driven courses (e.g., FENT 455) and complete a 1,500-word organizational development plan,
- Complete (and document) at least 70 hours of fieldwork, OR
- Submit an original empirical manuscript of at least 8,000 words.
Executive Board
Membership on the Hatmob Executive Board is a campus leadership experience that also qualifies for an Experiential Learning Requirement (ELR) in the School of Business Administration. There are a limited number of spots on the Hatmob Executive Board. Auditions are conducted on a rolling basis and appointment letters are usually sent at the end of each semester. To be a member of the Executive Board of the Hatmob, one must:
- Complete the online Collaborative Institutional Training Initiative (CITI) Social and Behavioral Research course to which Stetson provides a subscription,
- Register a Hatmob Portfolio Deck,
- Meet the 3.0 minimum G.P.A. requirement,
- Contribute content to the Hatmob social media platform,
- Conduct a minimum of 70 hours of empirical work as part of a faculty alliance project, and
- Facilitate at least 1 Executive Board cultural credit event (e.g., R&R).
